WHAT THEHEEBEE SAYS :
Zzungry has created a lot of buzz among the ‘Good food delivered at your door step’ segment in Bangalore. As we were planning to order a meal, there came the opportunity knocking – Food Bloggers Association, Bangalore‘s meet-up for Zzungry Food Tasting session. So we geared up for it with a lot of expectations and as everyone will find out from this blog, they stayed well on our expectations.
AT THE FIRST STEP :
It was a very good thing that the co-founders of Zzungry, Mr. Subash Baligar, Mr. Sandeep Rana and Mr. Ashish Kalya made their availability for this session.
It was a very interactive session with them where we went through all the thoughts around the concept and all the efforts that are being put to ensure that Five Star quality food is cooked at highly hygienic premises and delivered to the customer in a very safe way.
THINGS WORTH KNOWING :
The whole concept is to make Five Start quality food reach people at a very affordable rate & through safe logistics by eliminating all the unnecessary additional charges that a Five Start hotel will otherwise bring in. An experienced team including an expert chef puts in a lot of effort to design the menu which is rotated on weekly basis. They have a base kitchen at HSR layout and a processing unit at Indiranagar. The offerings include Starters, Main Course, Accompaniments, Combos and Desserts. On their website they have put informative text about all the dishes which is very helpful to know how the dish will be. All the prices are inclusive of tax and they deliver in 45 mins.
The founders joined over a common goal to deliver Royal food at affordable rates to door steps. They thought about adding zeal and more zeal to hunger and that’s how Zzungry was born.
THEHEEBEE TASTED :
Zzungry team planned to get a combo for us – Veg and Non-Veg combo was in the offering. THEHEEBEE planned to taste Non-Veg combo.
All the food items are packed in a very hygienic food grade packing materials. The box is very handy to hold and has a very appealing design. It comes with a Green/Red mark indicating Veg/Non-veg contents.
Chicken Sholay Kabab
Very well marinated and very well roasted. It went melting in the mouth and was able to create the ‘give me more’ effect. I appreciate that mint chutney was also part of the combo which is the default needed thing for a tandoori kabab.
Murg Makhmali Seekh
Another delightful starter. Chicken seekh kabab with a twist – infused with cheese in center. Was very tasty and perfectly cooked.
Dum Nizami Murg (Gravy)
Mildly spiced, rich gravy with wonderful flavors. Two decent sized Chicken pieces which were again tender and well cooked. The only feedback was to have boneless Chicken pieces instead of bone so that it is comfortable to eat in a plastic vessel with plastic spoon. The Zzungry team took the feedback very gracefully and we are looking forward to try it again with boneless Chicken.
A very well cooked and well flavored rice. It was very happy to see friend onions sprinkled over the rice which now a days I am seeing many good restaurants also missing on. It went very well with the gravy.
It was a very thoughtful idea by Team Zzungry to replace the normal rotis with flavored ones. There was a Red Tomato Roti, Green Palak Roti and White Jowar Roti with Potato and Corn filling. It is quite innovative to replace the conventional rotis with these flavored ones.
The overall experience turned out to be very nice and appealing to order food from Zzungry again. We are sure that its here to stay and create strong and long lasting impact.
