Baba Fattoosh is a new name in Bengaluru in ‘Food Delivery to Doorstep’ segment. They serve healthy home-made Delhi style North Indian food at doorstep.
Currently they are serving at two locations in Bengaluru and have plans of expanding soon.
Harsh Vardhan Bansal, Co-founder of Baba Fattoosh invited us to taste their offerings. We were very eager and excited to try out the food. As you will notice, our experience turned out to be satisfactory.
AT THE FIRST STEP :
Harsh helped by delivering the food to our office. Good thing is that one of their core team members, Prakhar Agarwal came to deliver the food. This helped us converse with him to understand the concept, offerings, setup etc.
All the items were neatly packed in containers and delivered in ‘Baba Fattoosh’ customized cloth carry bag. This was quite thoughtful. We liked the idea that they did not use any paper materials in packing.
THINGS WORTH KNOWING :
Baba Fattoosh serves Delhi style home-made food. The menu is changed daily. Chefs are photographed with each dish on their site. Prices are very affordable and inclusive of all taxes. They keep limited menu which helps avoid confusion. All the food items are very tasty and mildly spiced. Delivery options are available through their website or app as well as from popular food delivery apps. They have many offers and monthly subscription options also.
THEHEEBEE TASTED :
We got a complete spread to taste – appetizer, starter, mains, rice and sweet. All the items were nicely packed. A spoon and tissue paper also comes along with food.
This was the ‘Show-Stopper’ dish. Very crisp, non-oily and the chatpataa spices were out of the world. So far, this is the best Kurkuri Bhindi we have ever had. Till the end it kept on creating ‘I want more’ feeling. A #mustHave and highly recommended dish.
Paneer Matter and Roti
The subji had very tender and fresh paneer pieces of correct size. Green peas was also well cooked. Rich gravy which was mildly spiced and of perfect density. Roti were soft and went very well with subji.
Mughlai Chicken Biryani with Burani Raita
Biryani was of ample quantity with good chicken pieces. Thumbs-up to the chef for sprinkling friend onions over it. Both the rice and chicken were mildly spiced. Raita was also mildly spiced and had garlic pieces in it. A perfect one for anyone who likes distinct garlic taste.
Shikanji and Gulab Jamun
Shikanji tasted nice with balanced flavors. Gulab jamun was soft and up to expectation.
The food was tasty and very healthy. Quantity was very adequate. Overall a good value for money food, delivered at your door steps. A perfect option to order home-made food and eat it at comfort of your home!!
