About the Author:
Padma Shree Sudha Murty is one of those figures who comes from a normal Indian middle-class family and then inscribes her name in history by multiple great deeds. She is the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation. She writes in English and Kannada and her books have been liked and admired by masses.

‘Wise & Otherwise’ is a collection of 51 short stories, each a real-life incident that the author has passed through. These vignettes showcase the myriad shades of human nature. Every short story, a real-life incident, showcases to us the extremes of human nature. How at times human beings can be extremely cruel, generous, indifferent, helpful, kind, helpless, courageous, selfish and much more. All these experiences have left an everlasting impression with the author and the way in which they have been written, leaves an everlasting impression with the reader.
Every short story in this book is thought-provoking and will take you into a whirlwind of thoughts and self-improvement.
Mrs. Sudha Murty’s books are written in a very simple English language and are always easy to read and understand. They are connected to the common people and every reader can relate it to the world around him/her.
I loved reading every short story in this book. A new learning got imbibed from each one of them and I got to know that the humans can show different shades starting from incredible generosity to the curlest acts one can ever expect.
